Raspberry Pi: Mounting NFS share on Synology

Synology setup

  1. Edit Shared Folder. Click NFS Permissions tab. Add Raspberry Pi address to the table.
  2. Add firewall rule to allow Pi’s IP address accessible to NFS service on Synology.

Raspberry Pi Setup

  1. Create mount point.

    # sudo su
    # mkdir /mnt/synology

  2. Edit /etc/fstab, add the following line to the end of the file

    192.168.1.15:/volume1/nfs /mnt/synology nfs rw,auto,hard,intr 0 0

  3. # sudo update-rc.d nfs-common enable
